Kitchen Stories is a video-based, cross-media cooking platform, available as an app, website, on smart TVs or via Amazon Echo Show. In addition to getting free recipes for every occasion, HD video tutorials and inspiring articles, users can also upload their own culinary creations to the platform and share them with the global community. A team of more than 75 members, based in Berlin, combines creativity, technology and marketing expertise and strives to have an impact on the everyday cooking of millions of aspirational home cooks.

Working Student - Editorial Assistant English Language (m/f/x)

Your Role

In your role as an Editorial Assistant, you will be an integral part of our creative team, led by Sebastian, and join forces with the talented editors responsible for our content. You will support the creation of engaging and inspiring food content for the Kitchen Stories platforms, that is aligned with content strategy, our tone of voice and editorial plans. If you like to combine your passion for food with your talent in writing and are looking for a position where you can be creative and take responsibility, then this might be the right opportunity for you.

You support the editorial team in the execution of content according to the publishing schedule
You help push recipes through pre- and post-production using our CMS (Content Management System)
You continuously optimize our existent content following SEO best practices
You have the opportunity to pitch, create, and write articles and recipes according to our editorial and recipe development guidelines
You edit EN articles according to our editorial guidelines
You help with both long- and short-form translation tasks (DE > EN)
You have the opportunity to assist on the set of photo and video productions, working closely with editors, photographers, video producers, and chefs
You assist with quality control of our content from an editorial and organizational perspective

Your Profile

You study communications, literature, social science, food studies, or a similar field
You are a communicative, creative person with great writing skills
You are passionate about food and feel comfortable in the kitchen
You have a sharp eye for detail and are an independent worker
Your English is on a native-speaker level
German language proficiency is a big plus
