You are responsible for purchasing raw tobacco, taking into consideration harvest, price and quality fluctuations. You define purchase plans and buying strategies according to the budget-forecast. You safeguard the quality of the raw tobaccos and the consistency of the blends; and you are also participating in the development of new products and product adaptations.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in Agronomy / Agriculture Studies
Experience
Long-standing experience in tobacco growing/trading or cigar/cigarillo/cigarette manufacturing or many years of working experience in a growing/trading, quality and/or purchasing department in a wine or coffee company
Attitude
Passion for tobacco, high quality orientation, good intercultural skills, perserverance, open and reliable team player, proactive approach, flexibility and humor :-)
Languages
Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese or German advantageous
