The core responsibilities of the Quality Compliance Officer will be to coordinate and monitor quality activities to ensure compliance with quality measures for the European operations, headquartered in Germany. The officer will also gather, analyze, and manage quality-related data, and research quality-related questions to support the continuous improvement of the compliance operation. This role provides the unique opportunity to be part of a global compliance team, collaborating across markets with a shared commitment to business integrity and customer satisfaction.
Quality Compliance Officer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Implement and maintain the quality management system, ensuring quality standards are upheld in alignment with relevant regulatory and legal requirements, and commercial specifications
- Serve as a Sunrise Germany liaison to certification bodies (organic, food safety, etc) including ongoing communication, information exchange, auditing, and related work
- Serve as Sunrise liaison with supplier and customer quality/compliance teams
- Oversee standard procedures and processes in alignment with legislative, operational, and related requirements
- Coordinate the product specification and testing program
- Coordinate the supplier verification program
- Provide customer qualification documentation
- Manage quality records and documentation
- Perform internal audits
- Research and assess information and data
- Manage quality cases.
- Maintain a training program
- Represent Sunrise in quality networking forums (associations, etc)
- Serve as a member of the global Compliance team
- Build and maintain an internationally relevant network
Your profile
- BSc degree or equivalent
- Experience in Quality Assurance in food/agriculture, preferably focused on supply chain
- Experience in organics is considered an asset
- Experience working with GFSI and GMP+ certification schemes and Audit experience would be a plus
- International track record with specific experience in Germany
- Experience interacting with regulatory bodies
- Experience with enterprise resource programs (ERP) and data extraction and analysis
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Ability to work flexible work hours to meet the business needs
- Strong business acumen, solid judgment and action- and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and written (English and German, Turkish would be a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
